Oh dear vie..

With her quirky sound to music and her lancashire accent she has to be one of my favourite people, (sh, the fact that shes a best friend doesn't count.. i promise) Comfort has to be her necessity but that doesn't mean it cancels out her fashion, right? Evie is a 16year old Northern Girl who focuses mainly on her writing and music, her covers range from Oasis wannabe Mancunian group The Courteeners to american artist Bon iver. Shes a definite fan for the cashmere fabrics and slouchy cardigans, just the other day she was showing me her latest vintage buy which looked so pretty yet comforting, but then i noticed something amazingly delicate and timeless around her neck. There hung a tiny vintage clock face suported with a gold chane. Im not one for gold jewelrey, at all infact, but this was somthing else. Not only does it look vinage when its not, but it also reminds me of her, quirky. Then she told me it was from Urban Outfitters, UO you never stop amazing me.

Happy Valentines...

Thinking back, my ex from last year who i couldn't stick by valentines i appreciate so much now, even if it was just for a little company and a cheeky gift exchange. As i have no be -loved or be-lusted right now, i have decided to forget the holiday saving for now and think of what i'd like, no LOVE to spoil myself with this dreaded Valentines day.

Could you become any more perfect? Using my favourite simble the heart for your special 'V' day release. Your pirate boots are what i should be attempting to save for, but i have given up- its soon to be my birthday so ill be looking to buy them or a mulberry (sorry i haven't decided which i NEED more), but as it is valentines day and I'm looking to try to afford to treat myself. After Christmas broke the bank and Ive been lusting over your amazing rouge bags, I'm asking, no I'm begging, please make my 'V' day by posting me your specially launched leather heart bag. I would ask my be-lusted but i don't think he loves me that much yet....( or exists just yet *shrugs*)

INSIDE OUT

Bustiers, suspender belts, pants, sheer layers, bra tops - lingerie looks abound this season.

I hate myself for buying stupidly expensive pieces of underwear, which are fabulous. But the beautiful fabrics and detail are almost pointless as it kills me to wear it underneath my clothes and not be able to show them off. But now a love hate trend as hit the catwalk, Jean paul gaultier's and Yves saint Laurent's being my favourite pieces. This trend is no trend for the faint hearted- verying degrees of dare being with laced edges or boned bra cups added to a sweater which all tease and hint at the lingerie look.Neutrals and pastal pattetes work amazing and give it more a romantic take. A fine nitt cardigan or a tuxedo jacket can cover up a too exposed body. Please?

TRENCH TREND

Parka's are a love of mine and always will be but since seeing Emma Watson modelling a fabulous lilac Trench in Burberry's new Trench collection i have ceased the moment and set out to buy a few myself starting with a candy coloured double of the burberry love- im still to purchase the Lilac myself but the new reinvention of Trenches have made me question weather or not i should be buying such a tailored piece. Im on a look out for a beige or black vintage Short or long sleeved one as they are a timeless piece, especially with the military colours and styles at the moment. They look fabulous tied at the waist either with a contrasting belt, as at Marc by Marc, or with a soft leather waist-cincher, as seen at Burberry. Trenches can look sophisticated and sexy all at one time- make sure your outfit peeks through by belting it with the buttons undone like Charles Anastase and Aquascutum.

CandyKane.

A gigantic sugar rush is what is taking over fashion at the moment from burberrys sorbet and sherbet shades to sugar dusted bead dresses at Christopher Kane. I tried, i promise to stick to my pastel colours in my own wardrobe as i have some lovely blouses from last season, but yeah you guessed it i dont want them anymore.

ALICE ARRIVES

Yes the all new ALICE by Temperley collection is gearing up to launch, and little me over here thought she wasn't blessed to go and blast all her money on the new collection but prices start at £60( a very happy me and a very un happy mother). Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Harrods, Neiman Marcus, Isetan and Net-A-Porter all all set to store the rock-inspired collection. Fabrics from simple white embroidery Anglaise and striped jersey sit alongside Temperley's famed prints, including polkadot, floral and tiger, the collection hits us in the second week of febuary and ive found the perfect replacement for Mcqueen's scarf- yes please.

'New in town'

Hello. I'm new around here, as usual. Although i can't say i have ever got used to it. To be frank, i don't have a clue what I'm doing..(No, i don't have the slightest idea if I'm totally honest), so I'll do what i do best and follow my own path. ( Yes i do realise i have already used two cliches but I'm an aspiring magazine journalist, so its best to know when acceptable (then for instance..) I have always liked writing and fashion, even though you may not believe I'm very good about it, but that's the beauty of it. I'm not a obsessive fashion follower but if i adore something (as much as it pains me to say it) even if its worn by every girl or celebrity, ill find myself at the cash machine drawing out the last of my allowance to by the 'popular' but much loved by me item. Anyway, I'm Alexandra Flores, I'm studying Graphics, English and Media at college. I hope you like some of the things i give my opinion on (maybe not all, but some?)
